PORTFOLIO KICKS OFF KIDSCREEN WITH RAFT OF NEW DEALS

(February 7, 2017 – Toronto, Canada) – Worldwide content producer and distributor, Portfolio Entertainment, will be heading into Kidscreen with a new raft of international sales for new third-party properties as well as several of its iconic kids’ brands including The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That, DOKI, and Freaktown.

Ireland’s TG4 has picked up the second season of The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That (26×30’), the new Cat in the Hat movies (3×60’), as well as the first season of Portfolio’s newly acquired pre-school series, Bubu and the Little Owls (26×11’), which will air on the network’s Cúla4 na nóg block.

Freaktown (26×30’), Portfolio’s 6-11 animated comedy series, will go to 1HDTV through Studio U7 in Russia, as well as Israel’s Channel 8. The third season of The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That (20×30’) and the three newest seasons of PBS KIDS’ Emmy-award winning, animated adventure STEM-series, Cyberchase (20×30’), will also bow on Israel’s HOP!

RTP (Portugal) through Spain’s BR360 and CJ E&M (South Korea) have picked up the rights to Cat in the Hat Season 3, with South Korea also adding the first two seasons of the CBeebies-commissioned kids’ docu-series, Do You Know? (50×15’). In the SVOD space, the first season of Do You Know (25×15’) will now also be available on Pureflix (USA).

Rounding out Portfolio’s latest sales, UR (Sweden) has acquired the rights to the first season of DOKI (13×30’), the popular pre-school series produced and distributed by Portfolio for Discovery Kids Latin America. KiKA (Germany), has also picked up three of the DOKI specials (3×30’) in addition to 10×30’ of the second season of Cat in the Hat.
